BuddyStream 1.0.2.1 released!

On the BuddyStream 1.0.2 release there came some bug reports that there where a lot of session errors.
With the minor bug release of BuddyStream 1.0.2.1 we have fixed the problem.
Also we have fixed the last.fm importing problems.

BuddyStream Version 1.02 released into the wild!

We are pleased to announce the immediate release of the BuddyStream 1.02 BETA.  This release features a number of bug-related fixes to the plugin:

  • Last.Fm Import Restriction now functions correctly
  • Posting to BuddyStream from Facebook now functions correctly
  • Issues in some text URLs point to wrong destinations have been corrected
  • Hiding Tweets in the Activity Stream now works
  • Issues with Twitter “Zend_Oauth_Exceptions” have been addressed
  • Additional Twitter error – “un-supported operand type” has been corrected
  • A new back-end admin tab skin has been added featuring better statistics
  • Fixes issue with PROFILE sub-nav menus not appearing correctly
  • Escaped Characters appearing in Tweets updates should now work properly and not appear
  • A front-end check to make sure that your server build meets the minimum plugin requirements before it will enable

A number of you have indicated just HOW important that this plugin is for BuddyPress and your sites, we realize this and this IS the reason that this plugin was developed.   We hope to continue to be able to build upon this release and help to make BuddyPress THE social-networking choice of people everywhere.

BuddyStream downloaded over 1000 times!

We are happy to say that the plugin is downloaded over 1000 times!
And all that since it was released 2 weeks ago.
This is a great milestone and gives us just more and more energy to keep on going.
Tomorrow there will be a new update release with some bug fixes and improvements.

BuddyStream 1.02 Bug-Fix Coming on the 28th

I am pleased to announce that a bug-fix/maintenance update will be coming to the BuddyStream Plugin that will address a number of issues noted with the 1.01 release.

This plugin will be out ON or NEAR October 28th.

Some issues addressed include the following:

  • Last.Fm Import Restriction now functions correctly
  • Posting to BuddyStream from Facebook now functions correctly
  • Issues in some text URLs point to wrong destinations have been corrected
  • Hiding Tweets in the Activity Stream now works
  • Issues with Twitter “Zend_Oauth_Exceptions” have been addressed
  • Additional Twitter error – “un-supported operand type” has been corrected
  • A new back-end admin tab skin has been added
  • BuddyStream.net Ticketing system has been improved

Additional bug-fixes to be addressed in the weeks to come.  Please be patient with us and the on-going development of this FREE plugin – good things are in the works.

Support system for bug reports

We have now a own bug reporting system! So please add any feature request and bugs on the support page.

In the coming week we will start fixing some bugs and have another test run.
When that is successful we will release a bugfix release.

Yes, you are reading it right! We are now wrapping up our work and are pleased to inform that the first public BETA release of BuddyStream will be on October, 15 2010!
